2. Update
Analysis and testing phase initiated early August (post exit reform implementation in July)
Analysis and testing completed in October, it identified:
the requirement for a number of codes fixes (for both exit functionality and reporting structure)
that the increase in volume of data would result in performance issues in report screens.
that a pre July 2013 implementation would result in a clash with Gemini replatforming (GRP)

3. Gemini Replatforming (GRP)
To implement the changes required for UNC0376S for the July 2013 Enduring Annual Application Window will require that work be undertaken both in parallel and as part of GRP:
the system changes are implemented onto the legacy Gemini Exit system where it will be fully tested, prior to:
migrating to “to be” Gemini in the June 2013 deployment of GRP
However including within GRP will:
increase the level of complexity involved
result in additional system development work
potentially lead to higher costs

4. COR2257 Costs Original ROM Costs:
Lower Range – £128k
Upper Range - £190k
Estimated Costs when included within GRP:
Lower Range - £166,970k
Upper Range - £227,970k

5. Next Steps
To include within GRP work needs to begin in December 2012, currently:
Dec ’12 - Xoserve scheduled to begin build and implementation
Feb/Mar ‘13 – Porting of Code to GRP / testing of code within “to be “ Gemini
June ’13 GRP implementation

6. Other Considerations
Other option available to NG would be to build on “to be” Gemini and deploy in September 2013 as part of a Summer Release; however this has initially been discounted as:
it would not meet industry expectation and be available for the July Annual Application Window
we are tight on time – to begin on 10 Dec Xoserve needed to commission work with their Suppliers almost immediately
A September ’13 release has not been discounted, if Industry requirement is for a September release current work can be discontinued, however some costs will have been incurred in meeting the December start date.
