5 RADO/COML (T) Issues Need QUALIFIED RADO 1 CLASSIFICATION Add RADO 2 to mnemonics list Qualification for RADO 2 would be IDT RED card for RADO 1, 2 Need to get class roster from COML class of 2001, 2002, 2003 for COML trainees

6 Contractor Issues Need to know what language is in their contracts The contractor needs to supply their own portable radio

7 For Your Information NIFC frequencies used last year 71 AM (aircraft) 270 FM (command, logistics, tactical) 53 different repeaters Crew phones ARE A MUST!!! Data systems to be under the umbrella of the Computer Technical Specialist (Plans) ALL telecommunications orders on approved 213s THROUGH Communications (cellular, satellite, phone lines)

8 Solutions Send out new RACAL portables to interested COML on a trial basis Get contract language from Contracting Officer Assist NIFC on promoting RADO 1 RADO 2 qualification system Have ALL COMM personnel line qualified Assist NIFC in placing BAR CODE SYSTEM in place
