Almighty God, We pray for our school. We give thanks for our staff, pupils, parents and governors. Guide us Lord, in all our doings with your most gracious favour, And further us with your continual help; That in all our works begun, continued and ended in you, We may glorify your name, Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We are a Good School! We are continuing on our journey to embed the Good Ofsted and SIAMS judgement Visitors, including monitoring visits, comment on the following: The positive and welcoming ethos of the school The behaviour and conduct of the children – both in school and out on school trips How articulate our children are The standards in children’s workbooks The exciting curriculum Our good punctuality and attendance

Next steps We need to keep on doing the things we do well!
Develop children’s reasoning skills in Maths Continue to develop our reading so that children develop a passion for reading Improve children’s progress in skills across the wider curriculum Build children’s resilience and ability to succeed in test situations.

Next steps – raising the profile of our school
We need to increase our pupil numbers as we are under capacity and this affects funding We are looking at different ways to market our school – including banners, leaflets, advertising …and word of mouth We are considering ways of raising extra funds for the school Can you help?

Next Steps – working with the community and courageous advocacy
Each class has undertaken to do a good deed this term: Year R taking cake , biscuits and prayer to the Fountain Group Year 1 Helping to clean up in The Mase Nursing Home Year 2 Making Easter Cards and singing for the elderly Year 3 Write and send Easter poems to patients at Mayday Hospital Year 4 Writing individual prayers for elderly residents Year 5 Writing letters and prayers to the young man killed on Albert Road Year 6 Organising World Peace Day to raise funds for our global community

Next steps – improving our environment
We have requested some extra funding from Reach 2 to make improvements, which we hope will take place in the summer: Refurbishment of the KS1 toilets Improved security Playground and car park work The school is also buying some playground equipment for KS2 (jointly with the Parents’ Association) and some fencing to improve security
