Where they live. Baboons live in Africa on the Arabian Peninsula.
Their habitats are rocky areas and open grass lands.

What They Eat Baboons eat many kinds of food. Grass is the most important food for baboons.

What they look like. They have yellow-brown, black-brown or red-brown fur. They have large fang like teeth. They have long tails and long muzzles.

Protection Male baboons help protect the troop from predators. They scratch and hit with their strong arms. They bite with their large canine teeth.

Babies Young baboons are called infants. Baby infants are born at night. Infants stay close to their parents for at least one year.
