2 Vocabulary A percent (%) is a ratio that compares a number to 100.
75% = 75 out of 100

3 Modeling a Percent Model 18 %.
A 10×10 grid can be used to represent hundredths. Since the word percent means out of one hundred, you can also use a 10×10 grid to model percents. Model 18 %.
