When, where, who & why ? 1 ½ or 2 day conference tentatively in the week of March 2009 Brussels, Belgium. Stakeholders and policy makers – plus wider participation through web-streaming Scrutinise the implementation of article 14 and assess implementation so far!

How key issues are dealt with: climate change adaptation (WS&D, Floods, ecological adaptation), integration with other polices intercalibration What is the level of ambition foreseen use of exemptions 4.4, 4.5 Role of new modifications (art 4.7) ? Basic vs supplementary measures International coordination

Analysis of SWMIs, draft RBMP and consultation procedures (to be contracted) Conference European level stakeholder /policy maker dialogue Broad participation via webstreaming/internet chats Outreach activities – internet, WISE, etc Possible survey of stakeholders and policy makers in advance of the event
