8 How can I help my child? Do… monitor your child’s daily work
give encouragement and support in areas for improvement praise your child for any progress made As parents, you play a vital role in preparing and supporting your child in his early years of education. Here are some tips to help him enjoy his learning experience in primary school.

9 Reading Tips Read with drama and excitement!
Use different voices for different characters in the story! Re-read favourite stories Choose books and authors that your child enjoys and re-read his/her favourite stories as many times as they want Read from different genres Read all kinds of materials—stories, poems, information books, magazines and newspaper articles Visit the library regularly Make regular visits to the library and immerse your child in the world of books Read daily Set aside a special time each day for reading. Set up a reading area in your home and make it your child’s ‘reading place’!
