Characteristic stacked-brick pattern observed when EAEC is cultured on HEp-2 cells.
Characteristic stacked-brick pattern observed when EAEC is cultured on HEp-2 cells. This pattern is also known as a honeycomb formation, which emerges due to bacterium-bacterium and bacterium-cell interactions. The result is the aggregation of the bacteria in a stacked-brick manner.
