This will be to challenge each grade level in a different way to allow them to benefit the most from the unit. HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you all had an amazing winter break and spent a lot of valuable time with your friends and family. In order to start the new year off right, we still need to please make sure all of our students bring a change of gym shoes for gym so they can participate and avoid injury! Safety is our main priority. The students will continue to participate in sports that are geared for indoors such as hockey, scooter hockey, volleyball, and gymnastics. Jump Rope For Heart fundraising will begin in January as well! Last year was very successful and we raised $5,542.00! I think we can raise even more this time as the cause and prizes for fundraising are very unique and fun! I hope we can continue the trends and support this amazing cause and our students! Have a Happy New Year and I hope you are all ready to make a difference in this New Year! ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT The athlete of the month for January is the New Orleans Saints. They are going into the NFL playoffs in first place in their conference and the best regular season record. They have a very good chance to make it far in the playoffs. Make sure you watch the Saints as the playoffs continues and wish them the best of luck toward the super bowl! “Don’t Let Yesterday Take Up Too Much Of Today.” – Will Rogers
