1 Water Plants Ms. Edwina

2 Pondweed Pondweed grows completely submerged in shallow water. It is rooted on the bottom. It provides shelter and food for a whole host of minibeasts such as tadpoles. They have slender stems and small spikes of inconspicuous flowers appearing above the water. 

3 Duckweed Duckweed, also known as water lentil, is the smallest flowering plant in the world. The plant consists of a short stem floating vertically in the water and occasionally a  flower. This type of plant may have no roots or just a simple single root.

4 Reeds This is often referred to as tall grass.
They occur in reed beds. They are all suited to wet habitats.

5 Activity In groups draw one of the plants that you like most and write down 3 things about it.
