Introducing #34 Robbie Brown.....
4
Robbie Brown is a 23 year old racer from Biddulph in Cheshire. He has been racing since the age of 12 and has competed successfully in numerous British Championships. In 2011 he finished a close fought 3 rd in the Ducati 848 Challenge and this season, he was crowned the 2012 Ducati 848 Challenge British champion with one round and three races of the season remaining. His points haul of 325.5 points includes 7 victories and finishing on the podium on a further 6 occasions across the season. As a result he dominated the championship, accumulating over 110 more points than his nearest rival. During the 2012 season Robbie was also given the opportunity to ride the DMC Racing Ducati 1199 Panigale in the European Superstock 1000 Championship at two World Superbike rounds as a wildcard replacement for the injured Alexey Ivanov. Robbie impressed a worldwide audience with his exceptional 4 th place finish on his first outing on the bike at Brno in the Czech Republic, and then consolidated this with a solid 11 th place finish at Silverstone two weeks later. To achieve two points scoring finishes at a world level with no experience of the bike indicates the level of talent that Robbie has, in fact these results ensured Robbie finished the season inside the world top 20! The 848 Challenge is the premier one make series in the UK and supports the British Superbike Championship at 6 of its UK rounds, alongside 2 overseas rounds at Assen and World Ducati Week in Misano.
