Monitoring Definition of ug/m3 - The concentration of an air pollutant is given in micrograms (one-millionth of a gram) per cubic meter air What are the dust monitoring trigger levels? An alert is triggered when a dust monitor records a period of 15 minutes where the average PM10 levels is above 150ug/m3. The City of London Guidance states an initial alert level of 150ug/m3. The GLA states alerts should be triggered when the average PM10 level is above 250ug/m3 150ug/m3 is an Amber Alert and 250ug/m3 is a Red Alert. Alerts are provided at these two levels by and text to City of London, Gary Telford and GLD Head office. How are trigger levels notified to site? Who receives the notifications? An automated is sent and additionally an automated text message sent to City of London, Gary Telford and the GLD head office

Monitoring How often is monitoring data looked at? Who looks at the data? The data is continually monitored by the air quality consultants computer system. Data is downloaded to the system from the monitors automatically and continuously when monitors are active. The monitors within the site boundary are active when supplied with power from the site generator (i.e. When site is active). The additional dust monitor on Golden Lane is powered by a street light and runs uninterrupted. Alert s and text messages can be triggered at any time. The monitors are checked remotely every weekday morning by Air Quality Consultants to make sure they are operating properly. We also receive alerts if the system loses contact with a monitor, for example if there is a power cut. The City of London and Gary Telford review the dust monitoring data daily and GLD collate a daily dust monitoring report
