2 Addition, subtraction, multiplication war
Need Deck of cards Play Deal all cards. Turn two cards over at a time. Have players add, subtract, or multiply cards. Whoever has the highest score* wins all of the cards. Keep playing until one player has all cards. If answer is the same, turn two more cards over. Shuffle cards periodically or as you get to the end of the pile. A=1 J, Q, K = 10 OR J=11, Q=12, K=0 *Play to lowest score – determine before game starts

Letters, words, grammar, adjectives, etc. Ex: I spy a round letter with a stick (a, b, d, p); I spy a sentence fragment Ex: I spy a tree it is tall, emerald green, sturdy Math Numbers, colors, sums, products, etc. Ex: I spy a number between 5 and 9; I spy two numbers with a sum of 6 Science Ex: I spy part of the water cycle; I spy a something that travels in the wind Social Studies Ex: I spy a community helper; I spy a topographical feature Sentence fragment-many billboards Sum of 6-phone number Travels in the wind-seed

5 Grocery Games How much would 4 cans of corn cost?
Is it cheaper to buy the bigger can or the smaller one? (look on Mylar for decimal cost) Count as you go – round cost of items in grocery cart for an estimated total. How much change should I get back? Count the change, is it correct?

Division Add numbers to the colored circles. Students can use one digit answers or multiple digit answers.

9 Checkers Add addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division problems to the checkerboard, and play checkers as you normally would. If student incorrectly answers, they lose their turn and the other player goes. Use painters tape to add math problems to the play pieces. As players jump the pieces, they need to answer the math problem. Simple 4+5 or complicated (3*1/100)+(4*1/1,000).

14 Concentration Index cards Vocabulary words Definitions
Write words on one card and definitions on another. Mix them up, place face down. Turn two over at a time until you find a match. Person with the most cards wins. Students can play this on their own, too.
