Fig 1 Flowchart of the sample selection from the NSCID in From the NSCID in 2010, 27,553 people had an initial interview based on questionnaire form I. Of these, 24,724 received periodic follow-up interviews using questionnaire form II; a total of 123,378 form IIs were completed. Information on the motor neurologic level of injury (MNLI) and AIS was only collected on form I, and Internet use and PHQ-9 information was only collected on form II. We included participants for whom information regarding the MNLI, AIS grade, Internet usage, and PHQ-9 scores was available. We excluded people for whom form II was missing. People were excluded if information regarding other covariates for the multivariate analysis were not available. We included 4618 people in our study.
