1 Group Night Sales Internship 2010-2011

2 This NBA season I completed an internship with the Milwaukee Bucks in the Sales Department. This included game nights as well as promotions the Bucks would sponsor around the Milwaukee area. This is some of the work I encountered and experience I gained

3 2010-2011 NBA Season Every season, the Milwaukee Bucks compete at a high level across the league, and because of that have a large fan base for every game. As interns, we were expected to be at every home game to help with promotions and special groups that came to the Bradley Center Milwaukee Bucks Home Games Chicago Bulls Charlotte Bobcats Portland Trailblazers New Orleans Hornets New York Knicks Golden State Warriors Miami Heat LA Lakers Oklahoma City Thunder Orlando Magic Indian Pacers Houston Rockets Utah Jazz Washington Wizards Memphis Grizzlies San Antonio spurs Denver nuggets Minnesota Timberwolves LA Clippers

4 Game Expectations My game expectations changed from game to game. As a promotional and sales department, we would run events pregame, during, and after the game. Some of my positions over the season included Courtside Kids, VIP Early Entry, Pregame and Half Time Tunnel, Post Game Free Throws, helping with the Bucks Energee Spirit Squad, Small Fries Basketball, working with our Group Table for giving out promotional items, Co- Captain, and Bench Warmers. Each of these tasks included working with fellow interns to produce a smooth well operated experience for the participants. I would oversee my group for each of these activities not only in the hall ways of the Bradley Center, but also on the Bradley Center court. My goal as an intern through this whole experience was to gain experience and knowledge of what it takes to run a game night operation. This meant working with the fans, giving away promotional items at our booth, and interacting with fans to hear their experience about the game.

6 Field Work Much of my time with the Bucks was spent at the Bradley Center during games with some off site work for additional promotional events

7 Additional Work On certain away games, I would work in the Bucks Offices in the call center, handling ticket sales over the phone for promotional ticket sales run over the television – This included creating new sales accounts in the Buck computers MC host for the Milwaukee Bucks Pom/Cheer 2010-2011 Competition
