Volvox Have TWO flagella each Live in Colonies Classified as algae
Obtain energy through photosynthesis (autotrophic). They contain chloroplasts. Reproduce either sexually or asexually

How they Live Volvox are a colony of individualized cells that live together. A colony can have anywhere from ,000 cells. Some cells in a colony can become specialized.

How do they stay together
Colonies stay together by a cytoplasmic substance. They work and move together. Together they beat the flagellum in a sychronized motion.

Daughter colonies Volvox are one celled algae that live together in a colony The colony is a hollow ball with individual cells This is called a daughter colony
