Introduction
Finish plasters are applied to backgrounds to leave a smooth flat hygienic finish
The finish plaster has to be suitable to the background to which they are to be applied
A range of finish plasters are available to suit different backgrounds, most are hand applied but some are available for machine application

The application of the finish plaster is always started at the top of the wall working from the toe of the trowel towards the heel of the trowel. 7

The First coat is applied approximately 1mm in thickness evenly across
the entire wall
This should be allowed to stiffen and then flattened with the trowel
A second coat should be applied to the first coat again at a thickness of 1mm
The wall should be gradually trowelled to a finish
