7. Dual Enrollment FACTS: Steps to Dual Enroll: Apply to the college
9-12th grades
gpa of 2.5 or higher
qualifying Accuplacer or SAT scores
Counts as both high school and college credit
Cannot be a hobby/recreational or theology/religion course
Tuition, fees, and books are covered up to the allotted amount per the state guidelines
Failure of course= repayment to the school
Apply to the college
Take the Accuplacer (college entrance exam) or submit SAT scores
Meet with your counselor
Complete paperwork to register for class (done with counselor and requires parent signature)

8. Monroe County Middle College (MCMC)
5 year program
Located on MCCC’s campus
Begins 9th grade year
Earn HS diploma and up to associate’s degree or 60 credits
College courses taken at MCCC
Health Science or STEM career pathway

Monroe County Technical & Career Early College (MCTC)
5 year program
For students that want to pursue a technical certificate
Begins 11th grade year
Earn HS diploma and college credit
Students complete CTE coursework at high school and then continue at MCCC.

10. Career Technical Education (CTE) Consortium
All Monroe county schools are part of this consortium
The idea is to allow students to travel to area high schools to take CTE course offerings (auto, welding, consumer & family sciences, etc.) that aren’t available at the student’s home high school.

This option is available during senior year for students.
