Initial situation and taskforce‘s objective
RUs/Applicants have received offers with poor quality for TT 2017 The RUs complain that offers are: Inconsistent Contradictory Partially nonsense Not harmonised Highly complex and require huge efforts to get „deciphered“ After common analysis with RUs the PCS Team detected 6 major reasons for the poor quality (the following examples are actual dossiers with RFC involvement) Objective of the taskforce’s workshop: Create concepts with countermeasures to the current lack of quality in the international timetables offered via PCS. 15 February 2017

Approach at the first taskforce workshop
Agreement on the scope of measures: RFCs (with expected positive effects on other international timetabling) Definition of terms (e.g. what is „quality in path offers“) Analysis the 6 defined problems and compare with RFCs‘ products (e.g. PaPs, feeder/outflow) Indication of source problems Creation of measures for each source problems, including implementation time 23 measures were found as ongoing or for short, mid, or long-term implementation Agreement on next steps 15 February 2017

Next steps The RNE Managing Board will be asked to agree on a project „TT Quality“ on 16 February 2017 Philipp Koiser will propose the following project timeline: 21 March 2017: Kick-off meeting and start of implementation of measures 4 May 2017: Presentation of intermediate results to the GA June 2017: presentation of proposal at the next High Level IM meeting November 2017: Finalization of short- and mid-term measures and action plan for long-term measures 6 December 2017: Approval of the Action Plan by the GA 15 February 2017
