Formative Assessment Keys
Based on carefully selected standards or learning targets. Provide timely descriptive (qualitative) feedback to students. Be used for student learning, not a measure of student learning. Formative assessments should not be graded but used as a tool to help the teacher move the student forward

What do you do with formative assessment results?
Give descriptive feedback to students. Encourage student self-reflection and empowerment. Plan and dictate instruction. Stop and re-teach (pedagogical evaluation) Review pieces of standards in future lessons. Implement interventions for students who do not understand or need further support.
