The curve illustrates the capacity of the methylation levels of the CpGs to discriminate between SCLC cases and controls. Of note, the area under the ROC curve (the c-statistic), represents the proportion of SCLC case-control pairs in which the case is predicted by the model based on the nine CpGs to have greater odds of being a SCLC case.
