3. Daily Schedule
First 10 minutes of classroom: Students set up/roll/class dojo
Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Rehearse Instruments
Every Wednesday-Music Sectionals/Music Theory Quiz
Fridays-Playing Test, Achieve 3000 and a Fun Friday if earned.
Last 5 minutes of class pack up in an orderly fashion. Excuse by sections.
Please arrive on time to your class period. If late the student will be marked tardy. MA

4. Every student have an orchestra and band shirt.
Music Class Goals
Each student will become a well rounded musician. Each student will understand the basics of music and achieve the next level of playing.
Each class will perform a Winter and Spring performance as a final grade for the semester. The Winter Concert is on Friday, November 30th, 2018 at 5pm in the Carr Auditorium
Every student have an orchestra and band shirt.
Each class will fundraise to raise money for items as reeds, rosin, strings, and for fieldtrips. VG

5. 1st Semester Dates September 10th-Begin Practice Logs-All Classes
September 14th-SAUSD Middle School Marching Band Date with Valley High School/Advanced BAND and select students from 3rd period from 5-9pm
September 28th-Godinez High School and Carr BAND at VHS from 5-9pm
September 27th-Mariachi Performance at Lunch Time
November 30th-Band, Orchestra, Choir, and Mariachi Club Winter concert at 5pm at Carr Intermediate-All Classes VG

7. Homework
Practice Charts will go home next week on Monday, September 10th and are due the following Monday.
Students should practice a minimum of 1 hour a week.
Students can practice afterschool on Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday in the practice rooms or take instruments home. VG

Students receive Astro tickets or Class Dojo points from any teacher or staff, when they follow the CARR Way

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be in November is your son or daughter has discipline problems or grade issues.
Volunteers are welcomed for school concerts, events, or fieldtrips. Please let me know if you are interested through Class Dojo.
MA - Please keep in mind that you will be placed on a need basis - therefore it might not be your child’s classroom.

13. Reminders
Music Instrumental Agreement Contract Signed to Issue Instrument.
It is important that instruments are taken very good care of.
In order to have a field trip it is important to fundraise. Last year we raised money to go to Knotts Berry Farm. $50 per student.
Mariachi Club will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45- 4:30pm. Students must have 1 year experience on instrument.
