2 It’s OK to feel Nervous "I can’t believe I agreed to do this speech.
Look at all those people out there! My knees are shaking so much I can’t feel my legs. My stomach feels like I just went over the top on a roller coaster. My heart is beating so fast and hard my tie is jumping. I just want to scream and run away!"

3 DID YOU KNOW… Speaking in public is often cited as the number one fear of adults. The Book of (fears) Lists places death in fifth place while public speaking ranks first.

Memorized Impromptu Informative Persuasive Argumentative Special Occasion

7 Your Quicktalk Directions:
I will read a prompt aloud for you Decide: Keep or Skip. Keep = have 30 sec. to think (plan speech). Skip = pick a new # (then plan for 30 sec). If you choose skip, then you must respond to the 2nd prompt. (There is no going back or choosing a third number).

8 Once You’ve Selected a ? While planning: develop a clear answer to the prompt, and approx 2 reasons why/why not (body). Add a hook and conclusion! At 50 sec into your speech, I will wave a hand to signify you need to wrap it up (conclude).
