Jacques- Andre Naigeon
French philosopher. Naigeon was also atheist. He worked a lot with Baron d’Halbach. He did editorial work such as the Essays of Montaigne, and a translation of Toland’s philosophical letters.

Franciscus van den Enden
Not only was Ended an avid philosopher he was also a physician, art dealer and he also plotted against Kind Louis XIV But he is most known for being the teacher of Baruch de Spinoza.

Baron d’Halbach He was born Paul Heinrich Dietrich. He was also atheist just like Jacques- Andre Naigeon. He is most famous for his writings against religion such as The System Of Nature (1170)

Jean Jacques Rousseau In Rousseau's essay, called Discourse on the Arts and Science argued that the advancement of art and science had not helped people in any way.

Rene Descartes He is known as the father of modern philosophies. His most famous line is Cogito ergo sum which means I think, therefore I am.

Blaise Pascal Pascal was a catholic philosopher. He was most known for his mathematics.

Michel de Montaigne As a philosopher he believed in free will. He also suggested that all human behaviors come from heredity. He wrote several articles and supplements concerning gambling and inoculation against smallpox .

Voltaire He commonly criticized intolerance and French institutions of his day.
