(Note: To view beyond the edges of the slide, on the View tab, in the Zoom group, select Zoom. In the Zoom dialog box, under Zoom out click 50%.) (Intermediate) Tip: It may be helpful to use the Selection and Visibility pane when reproducing this slide. To open up the Selection and Visibility pane, on the Home tab, in the Editing group, click the arrow to the right of Select and select Selection Pane. Drag the end point (red arrow) of the motion path approximately 5 inches beyond right edge of slide. Drag the starting point (green arrow) of the motion path approximately 5 inches beyond left edge of slide. To reproduce the text effects on this slide, do the following: In the Selection and Visibility pane, select the third text box in the list. On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click Layout, and then click Blank. On the Animations tab, in the Advanced Animation group, click Add Animation, and then under Entrance click Fade. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Text Box. On the slide, drag to draw a text box on the slide. Also on the Animations tab, in the Timing group, do the following: Enter text (in the example slide, it is “transparent”), select the text, and then on the Home tab, in the Font group, do the following: In the Start list select With Previous. In the Delay box enter 0.5 seconds. In the Font list select Century Gothic. In the Duration box, select 0.5 seconds. In the Font Size box enter 90 pt. Also on the Animation tab, in the Advanced Animation group, click Add Animation, and then under Motion Paths click More Motion Paths. In the Add Motion Path dialog box, under Lines & Curves, click Left, and then click OK. Click Bold. Select the text box. Under Drawing Tools, on the Format tab, in the bottom right corner in the WordArt Styles group, click the Format Text Effects: Text Box dialog box launcher. In the Format Text Effects dialog box, click Text Fill in the left pane, and in the Text Fill pane do the following: On the Animation tab, in the Timing group, do the following: Click Solid fill. Click the button next to Color, and then under Theme Colors select White, Background 1 (first row, first option from the left). In the Duration box select 3 seconds. On the slide, select the motion path for the third text box, press and hold SHIFT, and then do the following: In the Transparency box, enter 40%. Drag the end point (red arrow) of the motion path approximately 5 inches beyond left edge of slide. On the slide, select the text box and position I on the left side. On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click the arrow to the right of Copy, and then click Duplicate. Drag the starting point (green arrow) of the motion path approximately 5 inches beyond right edge of slide. Position the second, duplicate text box on the right side of the slide area. In the Selection and Visibility pane, select the first text box in the list. Right-click the text box, select Edit Text, and change the text (in the example above, it is “overlapping”). Select the second text box, and under Drawing Tools, on the Format tab, in the bottom left corner in the WordArt Styles group, click the Format Text Effects dialog box launcher. In the Format Text Effects dialog box, click Text Fill in the left pane, and in the Text Fill pane do the following: In the Delay box, enter 3.5 seconds. In the Color list, under Theme Colors select Black, Text 1 (first row, the second option from the left). Press and hold CTRL, and select both text boxes. On the Home tab, in the Drawing group, click the arrow below Arrange, under Position Objects, point to Align and do the following: On the Animations tab, in the Timing group, do the following: Select Align Selected Objects. In the Duration box, select 3 seconds (Slow). Select Align Top. Select the second text box (in the example above, it is “overlapping” in black text). On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click the arrow to the right of Copy, and then click Duplicate. On the slide, select the motion path for the first text box, press and hold SHIFT, and then do the following: Press and hold CTRL, and select the second and the third (black) text boxes. On the Home tab, in the Drawing group, click the arrow below Arrange, under Position Objects, point to Align and do the following: Select Align Left. Select the first (white) text box on the slide. On the Home tab, in the Drawing group, click the arrow below Arrange, under Order Objects select Bring Forward. To reproduce the background effects on this slide, do the following: Right-click the slide background area, and then click Format Background. In the Format Background dialog box, click Fill in the left pane, select Gradient fill in the Fill pane, and then do the following: To reproduce the animation effects on this slide, do the following: In the Type list, select Linear. In the Selection and Visibility pane, select the second text box in the list. Click the button next to Direction, and then click Linear Down (first row, second option from the left). On the Animation tab, in the Advanced Animation group, click Add Animation, and then under Entrance click Fade. Under Gradient stops, click Add gradient stop or Remove gradient stop until two stops appear in the slider. Also on the Animation tab, in the Timing group, do the following: In the Start list, select With Previous. Also under Gradient stops, customize the gradient stops that you added as follows: In the Duration list, enter 0.50. Select the first stop in the slider, and then do the following: Also on the Animation tab, in the Advanced Animation group, click Add Animation, and then under Motion Paths click More Motion Paths. In the Add Motion Path dialog box, under Lines & Curves, click Right, and then click OK. In the Position box, enter 0%. Click the button next to Color, and then under Theme Colors click White, Background 1, Darker 35% (fifth row, first option from the left). On the Animations tab, In the Animation group, click the Effect Options dialog box. In the Right dialog box, do the following: On the Timing tab, in the Start list, select With Previous. Select the last stop in the slider, and then do the following: On the Timing tab, in the Duration box, enter 3.00. In the Position box, enter 100%. On the Effect tab, under Settings, check the box next to Auto-Reverse. Click the button next to Color, and then under Theme Colors click Black, Text 1, Lighter 15% (fifth row, second option from the left). Click OK. On the slide, select the motion path, press and hold SHIFT, and then do the following:
