2. Overview
In July 2019, BAE Systems Air will be hosting two residential Engineering Taster Weeks.
This great opportunity is aimed at year olds, who are considering studying a STEM subject at university or looking to apply for an apprenticeship programme.
The weeks will be held at our Samlesbury and Warton sites in Lancashire, home to the Eurofighter Typhoon production and final assembly lines.
Accommodation (including breakfast and evening meal) will be provided and lunch will be subsidised by BAE Systems.
Students are only required to get themselves to and from Samlesbury at the start and end of the week. All other transport during the week will be provided.

3. Activities
The challenging group project will task students to design and present an engineering solution. The week will culminate in a presentation to peers, parents and BAE Systems engineers. Prizes will be awarded to recognise team achievements.
Have the opportunity to see the engineering facilities behind some of the most advanced military aircraft in the world and meet the people that make it happen.
In the evenings, more informal activities will take place including a speed networking event and team building activities.
