Fig 1 Images of a 38-year-old man with malignant lymphoma diagnosed by endobronchial ultrasound guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA). (A) An EBUS image of the right lower paratracheal lymph node (LN) adjacent to the azygos vein. The EBUS-TBNA was performed to the right lower paratracheal lymph node. (B) Pathology on hematoxylin & eosin staining was suggestive of malignant lymphoma. (C) Immunohistochemistry with CD3 staining was negative. (D) L26 staining was positive on immunohistochemistry. (Original magnification ×400 for B, C, D.) Thus, the final pathologic diagnosis was diffused large B-cell type lymphoma. Fig 2 Images of a 55-year-old female with mediastinal goiter diagnosed by endobronchial ultrasound guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA). (A) An EBUS image of the tumor 3.29 × 2.47 cm in diameter visualized from the upper tracheal wall. An EBUS-TBNA was performed to the tumor with the needle shown inside of the tumor. (B) Cytologic examination revealed mediastinal goiter. (C) Hematoxylin-eosin staining of the histologic specimen obtained by EBUS-TBNA. (D) Thyroglobulin staining was positive on immunohistochemistry, with the final diagnosis of mediastinal goiter. (Original magnification ×400 for B, C, D.)
