This class will focus on the evaluation and physical exam of the elderly with a specific focus on identifying individual and environmental risks for fall. Performing a pre-fall assessment, and review of call logs to gather data on factors leading to a fall will be covered. Relevant geriatric communication techniques useful with patients with altered mental status and other cognitive limitations will also be reviewed.
