2. The Radio Station The construction started in 1934. It last two years.
It’s very high because it measures up 111,10 metres. It’s worth mentioning that this Radio station is made of wood. In August 31th 1939 Germany conducted provocation in Gliwice to persude the inhabitants of Gliwice believe that Poles people have started the war.

3. The Fountain
The Neptun’s Fountain is situated on the market square in Gliwice. It shows a Neptune on a dolphin, which according to the legend symbolizes the connection of Gliwice with the sea thanks to the Gliwice Chanel.

4. The Town Hall
The first town hall was built in the thirteenth century. But the town hall that we can see today is the second one, it was built in the fifteenth century, but there are remains of the walls of the first town hall in the basements. Its height is 41.5 m.

5. The Palm House
It is located in the Chopin park in Gliwice. There are over 5600 plant species, terrariums with reptiles, aquariums with turtles and birdcages with exotic parrots and canaries. In the summer time it’s a very popular place to visit.

6. The sport and entertainment hall
One of the largest halls in the whole country. Various events take place there. It has two halls, a small one and the big one and a two-level car park. It is very modern and functional. It’s very spectacular.

7. The Piast’s castle
It was built in the mid-14th century, along with defensive walls. The castle has been renovated and became part of the Gliwice Museum. Until today we can admire the beautiful castle and a part of the historic defensive wall.

8. The cathedral church of Saint Peter and Paul
It was built of red brick in the gothic style in It is located in a small but a nice park. From 1992, it is a cathedral church thanks to John Paul II. There are organs with 54 voices in this cathedral church.
