The thermostat nomenclature can be confusing to even the seasoned HVAC professional. Many are unaware of what the combination of numbers and letters mean. This confusion can sometimes lead to purchasing the wrong thermostat; a wasteful and frustrating mistake. But, this mistake can be easily avoided by remembering just a few key codes. ? ? ? Key VisionPRO® Features
The VisionPRO 8000 has many key features that set it apart from other 7-day programmable thermostats currently on the market. One of the biggest key features of the VisionPRO is the Honeywell brand. Honeywell has been the thermostat leader for over 50 years and continues to lead the trend in forward thinking products. Like all of Honeywell’s products, the VisionPRO goes through a robust quality testing process and is held to stringent quality standards. But the VisionPRO is packed with even more features… Click For Next Slide

Key VisionPRO® Features
The VisionPRO has Universal Application, so it works with virtually any application. This means you can reduce your SKU’s in your branch, and your customers only need to carry a few thermostats on their trucks. Because of Honeywell’s robust quality standards and intuitive setup and programming, the VisionPRO has a low Install cost and will reduce contractor callbacks, saving your customer time and money. Best of all, like virtually all Honeywell products, it comes with a 5-Year Warranty. What makes a VisionPRO so easy to program? Intuitive User Interface. It does not have anything to do with the touchscreen. The keys include: Only shows information on the screen when it is needed Layout of screen is easy to follow Scheduling time, heat temperature and cool temperature set on a signal screen Honeywell Patents that make the product more intuitive Ability to select multiple days “Ok to pick multiple days” U.S. Pat. No. 7,114,554 Ability to provide feedback the schedule was updated “Saving Changes” U.S. Pat. No. 7,274,972 Focus on minimizing call backs. Consumer: Intuitive Interaction – This means that it is obvious what to do when you walk up to the thermostat. It should be obvious what button to press and what the information on the screen is for. Also should say here that the touchscreen On the VisionPRO was not the technology driving the thermostat, but the need for Intuitive Interaction. Just because it is a touchscreen, does not mean that it is intuitive. Readability – We use large letters, backlighting. Population is aging. The Th5220 uses the largest font and screen in its class. Quality Perception – When a consumer walks into Best buy or target, they are exposed to very beautiful product styles and packaging. Compare this to our industry where many of our products are designed in a lab by engineers and are packaged In white or brown boxes with a crooked label (Show picture). What does the customer think of the product you are selling? We developed new packaging, and have worked with top industrial designers to develop our new products. Simplicity – We no longer use symbols on our products, we keep our interfaces simple by only showing relevant Information, we work with a top writer in the consumer business to write our manuals. For example when we asked consumers to tell us what a snowflake and a flame on a thermostat Meant, many could not tell us. By the way what does a flame mean to someone with a heat pump. What is actually on fire anyways. Think about it. Keep it simple with plain language and few abbreviations. Contractor: Bring everything to reduced callbacks. Low installed cost means the lowest cost to them to use a product. This means the purchase price and the associated cost to them – such as a low cost of inventory because the products are universal, reduced callbacks because the thermostats are easy to operate, and are reliable.
