Product Enhancement -Always guarantees, Life Time Guarantee -Beautiful people or celebrities- people want to be just like them -Having fun- you will have good time if you use the product -Editing out the failures- 6 out of 10 got better results, what happened to the other 4? Emotional Appeal -Fear -Pride -Guilt -Grief -Gender Appeal -Anger -Confusion Appeal to Children -buying toys, sporting goods, games, name brands -places to eat, Space Aliens, places with play areas Travel Fraud -buy a package and get a certificate for more deals on your next vacation -offers only vaguely describe the services Deception -pro and cons- only pros, no cons -selling air- cereal boxes not full, potato chip bags -fine print- read the fine little words to find out if it is a deal -add-ons- have to purchase other items to make it work -plus tax, shipping, handling- is it really a deal -unproven scientific claims- 9 out of 10 sounds good, but who tested it? -zero percent interest- be careful, you have a time line to get it paid off -misrepresentation- name is similar to nationally recognized brand Negative option -item arrives automatically unless stopped by consumer Health Fraud -promises over night cures -testimonials of medical experts and satisfied customers
