The need:
Eisai Co. Ltd. sought a more effective way to evaluate and plan business activities on an international level. With global manufacturing sites operating as independent businesses, comparing performance and cost-efficiency was a challenging task.
The solution:
Eisai launched the Global E-DREAM project in 2006, part of which involved standardizing worldwide operations on a single SAP ERP system through a Global Standard SAP (GSS) template. All SAP applications are hosted at Eisai Co. Ltd. headquarters and run on IBM System x 3650 servers and IBM BladeCenter HS22 blade servers.
