I CONSIDER HIS NAME (vv 4-5)

A. Jesus Described as “the First- born”

Exodus 4:22 “Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Israel is My son, My first-born.”’”

Psalm 89:20,27 “I have found David My servant; With My holy oil I have anointed him… I also shall make him My first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth.”

Hebrews 12:23 “…to the general assembly and church of the first-born, the highest of kings of the earth.”

Summary and Conclusion:
The superiority of Christ even over angels should speak to our hearts. By our Lord’s coming, we have been “Touched by More Than an Angel!”
