2 Social Watch in Poland Part of the global Social Watch network
Strong rights and gender approach Established in Poland in 2008 Coordinated by KARAT Coalition for gender equality in Central and Eastern Europe In 2010 they wrote short piece on poverty, homelessness and discrimination against women for European Social Watch report In mid 2010 SW PL decided to publish report on poverty and social exclusion in Poland

3 EAPN Poland engagement
Two our members were also members of the Social Watch coalition We had several expert reports on different poverty issues from previous project (Norwegian Grants) Reports were publish only on our web page We had an academic expert who could be an editor of the Social Watch report We sought events and initiatives for European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion EAPN PL decided to be a partner of Social Watch, not a member

8 Main presentation in Warsaw
With film about mothers strike – poor women with children illegally took up empty flats and were evicted in economically depressed city Wałbrzych (southern part of Poland)

9 Meeting with the MEPs in Parliament
