FESARTA DTFS – Digital Trade Facilitation System Standard Operating Procedures
Step 1. Trucker is called to Load by Exporter/Cargo Owner Step 2. Clearing Agent prepares documents and registers Customs Declaration SAD500 on Customs IT System Step 3. Truck Driver given hard Copies of export documents and returns to Transporter’s premises. Step 4. Transporter makes out Road Manifest, registers the Electronic Cargo Seal on the manifest and attaches the manifest to the export documents. Step 5. Transporter reports to the CARGOBOND Control Centre in Johannesburg to fit and arm the Electronic Seal. Driver hands all export documents Including the road manifest and Customs Declaration SAD 500 to CARGOBOND office. Step 6. CARGOBOND register the Electronic Seal No, Transporter, Truck Registration, Driver’s name and contact number, route and destination on the DTFS IT System and attach soft copies of all relevant documents: Road Manifest Customs Declaration Regional Transit Bond (RTB) Certificate of Origin Commercial Invoice Packing List Other Export/Import documents *All original export documents are handed back to the driver.

DTFS Cargo Tracking Communication Network Control Centre
1. If a truck is found to depart before verification of status of e-seals an alarm is generated Communication Network 2. While truck is in transit the GPS system records position and continuously checks e-seal statuses 4. If communication is lost between e-seals and central system, an alarm is generated and dispatched to central system Control Centre 3. If any change in e-seal status is detected at unauthorized GPS location an alarm is generated and dispatched to central system

DTFS Acquittal and Disarming of E-seal Process
Step 1. Revenue Authority in country of destination disarms the E-seal and acquits the entry on the system. Step 3. Notification of the acquittal and the disarming of the e-seal is sent via the DTFS Cloud platform to Cargobond Control Centre. CUSTOMS Step 2. Notification of the acquittal and the disarming of the e-seal is sent via DTFS Cloud platform to Customs Authorities. Step 4. E-Seal returned to Transporter after disarming and acquittal of entry by Revenue Authority for re-use by transporter. CARGOBOND CONTROL CENTRE
