2 The formation of a weather bomb
In 2004, on February 18th. A low pressure system on the eastern United States seaboard followed the jet stream tracking up towards the Atlantic provinces. Since it was going along with the Jet stream this allowed the storm to A LOT of energy from the warm air on the jet stream and cold air from the north side of the jet stream. These two air masses gave the storm massive amount of energy, also it was near water. This created a powerful storm that meteorologists define as a “weather bomb”, now known as White Juan to the Nova Scotians. It tracked to the NorthEast of Nova Scotia the next day.

3 Where it landed The storm tracked to south/ south east of Nova Scotia. This left the province getting whipped with nearly the center of Low Pressure, This left heavy amounts of snow in Nova Scotia, P.E.I, and New Brunswick. There was flooding also reported in P.E.I.

5 Emergency Houses were buried in snow. Schools and Businesses were forced to closed. In Halifax they declared a stated of emergency. And roads were not cleared for days. People could not get their cars running and food stores were shut down. Thousands of people lost power as well, It was like living in darkness.

6 Damage In the end everyone living in Nova Scotia, P.E.I, and New Brunswick. There was more then 1 million dollars in damage.
