What are some ideas/thematic topics you have noticed that the texts we have been reading have in common? Try to list at least 2 ideas/thematic topics (you don’t have to cover all of the texts) Be sure to lists which text share the ideas/thematic topics you’ve mentioned Look at your handout to remember which texts we have read this quarter. Prompt Select a common theme that is reflected in 2 of the works we have read this nine weeks. Write a 4 paragraph essay that shows how these texts share a common theme and how these texts link together to express a universal idea.

Essay Organization: Outline Handout
Let’s go over your handout! Complete this handout before you start writing. REMEMBER: Make sure that your analysis reflects an accurate understanding of the text. (If you question it, then ask your teacher.) Make sure you INTRODUCE your quotes. Fill in each step using a COMPLETE SENTENCE. If you did not finish your thematic analysis handout, you can have me check it tomorrow for partial credit. You need to be finished with your outline handout when you come to class TOMORROW!
