Electromagnetic Induction
The charges in a wire can be moved by moving a magnet in and out of a coil of wire. In a circuit, a current is made by changing the magnetic field.

Electromagnetic Force
The electromagnetic force is due to electricity and magnetism. Electromagnetic waves are made of magnetic and electric fields oscillating at right angles to each other.

Transformers Made of two coils wrapped around opposite sides of a closed iron loop. A magnetic field is made by a primary coil and creates a current in the secondary coil.

Transformers Used to adjust the voltage to homes
Step-up transformers increase the voltage leaving power plants Step-down transformers decrease the voltage entering neighborhoods
