Staff across the academy activity using whole class feedback strategies. Feedback parties are the in thing. Staff report more time to focus on positives, rewarding students & planning. Student presentation standards appear to remain high. Staff are talking about how to make feedback have more impact. EBI Utilised full range of feedback. Where do we want to be? (END) Feedback is timely and responds to the individual students needs; identifying what the students have learnt, misconceptions and gaps in learning.

Where do we want to be? (END) Feedback takes a variety of forms which impact the students learning. This includes frequent verbal feedback, self/peer assessment and appropriate written feedback.

Where do we want to be? (END) All feedback leads to direct action in which students are expected move towards ‘Closing the gap’, developing knowledge and skills.

Within a half term a student can expect to receive the following feedback in each subject area:
Verbal responsive feedback through questioning every lesson. Regular whole class feedback. Results of low stakes testing Self and peer assessment of work against criteria Presentation & organisation check. When appropriate, deeper marking of selected pieces

Diet STAFF USE OF FEEDBACK Knowledge gained during feedback is used by staff to plan suitable challenging next steps in learning, this includes improvement tasks, re-teaching and future learning activities. STUDENTS USE OF FEEDBACK Feedback is used by students to further develop their knowledge and skills. This can be achieved by: Improving pieces of work. Applying feedback to new tasks/ activities. Experiencing reteach lessons. REPEAT
