4. Colonist Army
Due to limited funding, the colonist army had little to eat and few soldiers
Soldiers dropped out left and right, not wanting to endure harsh conditions
Many losses made for low morale

After Jefferson appealed to other countries, France joined the war effort

7. British change strategies
After changing their strategies and finding new supplies, Americans began to wear down the British
General Cornwallis lead the British to the South, hoping to find loyalists

Losing every small fight, the British set up in Yorktown to rest
An informant for the Colonists, Hercules Mulligan, tipped off the colonist army
France set troops and ships their way and Washington moved his from New York to Virgina, close to Yorktown
Together, both forces trapped the British,
General Cornwallis, unable to resupply, was forced to surrender
