1 Submit Grades Electronically from MicroGrade Exports
Gee, I already use MicroGrade. That’s great!

2 What’s required to use this method to submit final grades?
Grade book in MicroGrade that includes student Baylor ID#s Knowledge of using MicroGrade Creation (within MicroGrade) of an export file of grades Web browser (like Internet Explorer) BearID (e.g. John_Doe) and password Needed: Note: Instructions for importing class rosters into MicroGrade are available within ClassRoll

3 In MicroGrade… Make sure to use the student’s ID number as the ID in your MicroGrade gradebook – e.g During the semester, use MicroGrade as you normally would to record class grades

4 In MicroGrade (after final grades are computed)…
Download the template file and save in a place you remember. Get template here under Option Three: (Right click on link and do “Save Target As…” to save template.) Open MicroGrade: From the File menu, select Export>General.

5 Continuing in MicroGrade …
Click the Open Template button Select the MicroGrade export template that you previously downloaded from the Web site and press the Open button. Click the Export button. Step 1 Step 2 Step 3

6 Still continuing in MicroGrade …
Select General Export Format Click OK Step 1 Step 2 Note: Do not change any of the defaults settings.

7 And still continuing… Name the file (Note:Any descriptive file name will work and remember its location. This is the file which you will use to submit your grades.) Step 1 Click Save. Step 2

8 Lots better than coloring circles
Then…Submit that file of grades to the grade posting process on the Web Remember where the file exported from MicroGrade is located on your PC Go to this location on the Web: Enter your Bear ID and password Then... Lots better than coloring circles This is easy.

9 This is the Grade Posting page you will see…choose the class to be graded:
NOTE: The system finds your ID# based on your Bear ID. This is used to find your classes in Banner SIS. ALSO: The term code is displayed before the class identifier. Only classes for current terms will be shown. Select the class to be graded by clicking its radio button. Or, click Not Listed. LAST – Click this button.

10 If the class section you need was not shown & you clicked Not Listed:
You will see this page. Select the prefix from the drop down box & enter the course & section numbers. THEN – Click this button.

11 Direct the application to the grade file exported from MicroGrade:
Click Browse and select the file you saved from MicroGrade to your PC previously. NOTE: Browse to the file using the window that will be displayed and click the “Open” button. THEN, click Upload Grade File.

12 Then you’ll see… You're done!

13 More info about this grade submission method:
Grades for a class may only be entered once using this process. Additional grading must be done via BearWeb. After “Upload Grade File” is clicked, within the next hour to several hours (controlled by the Office of Academic Records), the grades are rolled into the Banner student system. To change or add grades after using this process for a class, contact the Office of Academic Records (ext. 1181).

14 Do you need a printed copy of the grades you submitted?
Go to ClassRoll on the Baylor Website for the class section just graded and select Output Format “Printable Roster.” If you are a faculty member of record for the class, the submitted grades will be displayed and you can print the roster with the grades.

15 The End (You’ve successfully graded your class!)
