Identification of a process or social issue Examine practice and involve practitioners Emancipatory actions

4 Types of Action Research Design
Practical Action Research (own classroom but part of a team of researchers) Small scale research project specific to the context being studied Participatory Action Research Improve quality of lived experiences Empower people in their settings More voice of the participants than above More involved in the process of research Can address larger issues
