Fig. 2 Immunohistochemical eNOS and iNOS protein expressions in aorta of cholesterol-fed rabbits. The aortic segments isolated from hypercholesterolemic and l-arginine-treated animals (group 2) showed higher eNOS expression (A) than hypercholesterolemic animals without dietary l-arginine (group1) (B). There was a trend toward decreased expression of iNOS in hypercholesterolemic and l-arginine-treated animals (C) compare to hypercholesterolemic animals without dietary l-arginine (D).
