Overview of previous cooperation
Good working relationship with key national and international stakeholders; Tangible results: Serbia’s Gender Equality Index; Knowledge sharing: gender mainstreaming, gender-based violence and Resource and Documentation Centre. Overview of achievement of previous project: Good working relationship has been established with key stakeholders responsible for the advancement of gender equality among all project beneficiaries, including cooperation with gender focal points in Delegations of the European Union in region of Western Balkans and Turkey, as well as EU institutions and international community; Extensive work on gender statistics has been done, with all project partners taking initial steps in production of national Gender Equality Indices, including Serbia to produced it and inclusion of some countries’ data into Gender Statistics Database; Numerous work outcomes have been shared with project partners and vice versa, mainly in the area of gender mainstreaming, gender-based violence and including EIGE’s collection of many related resources from project partners for the Research and Documentation Centre (RDC) database.

EIGE’s cooperation with EU candidates and potential candidates (2017 – 2019)
Focused to improve monitoring, policy and legislation in the area of gender equality and building capacity of key project partners Since 2013, EIGE has supported involvement of EU candidates and potential candidates in our work and deepening of cooperation in common priority areas, aiming to improve overall gender equality progress among IPA project partners. Current project focuses on improving monitoring, policy, legislation and turn it into practice among project beneficiaries.

ACTIVITIES Gender mainstreaming;

Transferring knowledge on gender mainstreaming – collection of good practices from Western Balkans and Turkey Sharing of EIGE’s work on Gender Mainstreaming and facilitating transfer of knowledge, so that gender perspective is integrated at all stages of policy making.

Harmonising gender equality terminology
Introducing EIGE’s Glossary and Thesaurus of gender equality terminology to project partners and facilitate adaptation in the Western Balkans and Turkey. Serbia is now translating it and we expect to offer more support in this process

Regular joint cooperation
Regular cooperation with project partners, including EU institutions (mainly EU Delegations, DG NEAR, EEAS and DG Justice) and international community.

Going forward We are looking forward to continuing our joint cooperation and we hope to achieve results we have committed. For your information, duration of the project is 30 months, as of September 1st 2017
