The last mission was on June 1, 2011
During that time it went on 25 missions
A reason why Endeavor was built was to compensate for what happened to the Challenger during 1986
It was built in California during 1982 to 1990 which is around 18 years or more

4. A Brief History of the Space Shuttle Endeavour
In 1987 the congress approved of Endeavour
It’s main purposes were to research and repair equipment on satellites
It’s first mission was to relaunch a satellite known as INTELSAT 6 and was a nine day mission
It did the first servicing mission by bringing the unity module to the Hubble Space telescope
Endeavour’s last modification mission was from December 2003 to October

A shuttle that stores passengers, foods, and other goods and can go back to orbit
It has 2 solid rocket boosters and an external tank just like the other space shuttles (Challenger, Columbia, Discovery, Atlantis)
Solid rocket boosters are about 149 ft and 12.2 ft in diameter
The external tank is about 27.6 ft in diameter and ft in length
Fins that are used to decrease the drag

The first African-American women astronaut: Mae Jemison was launched into space by Endeavour
Was built from scraps of Space shuttle Atlantis and Discovery
It is now stored in the California Science Centre in South La
This shuttle was named after an essay competition between students in elementary to secondary school to try and name a NASA shuttle, Endeavor was one of the most popular ones
Youngest shuttle among them all
