Will All Religious People Be Saved?

Religious People In Athens Were Unsaved
Acts 17:22. Word “superstitious” (KJV) really means “religious” (ASV, et al). Literally means “to be reverent to a deity” (Vine) Their worship was in ignorance (Acts 17:23) These same ones were told to repent (Acts 17:30) God is pleased by faith which comes from his word (Heb. 11:6; Rom. 10:17)

Some Very Zealous Religious People Will Not Be Saved
Prophets of Baal were extremely zealous (1 Kgs. 18:17-40, esp ) Israel had misplaced zeal (Rom. 10:1-4) Zeal must be directed toward God (Titus 2:14; Rom. 1:17)

Followers Of Man-made Religions Will Not Be Saved
The place and value of man’s traditions and doctrines (Matt. 15:1-14) They make God’s commands of none effect (v. 6) It places their hearts far away (vv. 8-9) Result is an upheaval (v. 13) Jesus’ answer is still valid (Matt. 4:10; re. Deut. 6:13-14)

Those Who Practice True Religion Will Be Saved
There is to be truth in religion {always} (Jn. 4:24) It is the narrow way (Matt. 7:13-14) Many called, few chosen (Matt. 22:14) Requirements: Faith (Jn. 8:24) Repentance (Lk. 13:3) Confession (Matt. 10:32) Baptism (Mk. 16:16) Faithfulness (Heb. 3:14)
