Overview You will be conducting research on a specific Supreme Court case that YOU will argue has both triumphant and tragic historical perspectives.

Does the president have executive privilege or must they follow rule of law

The Court Cases Bush Vs. Gore (2000)
Did Florida issue an unconstitutional recount in the presidential election?

How to Conduct Research
YOU will be responsible for conducting your own research on this topic. You will be using the iPads, but here are some important things to consider: 1. Is the source reliable? (When in doubt, ask!) 2. Is the source a primary source, or secondary source? 3. Does the source give you information you can use to support a claim?

What are you looking for?
It is your job to show that your given supreme court case was both a tragedy and a triumph. Triumph: Achievement of GREAT things! Tragedy: Event that causes distress or grief

More of a Triumph or Tragedy?
After conducting your research, decide whether your court case is more of a tragedy or more of a triumph. Be prepared to support that, BUT, also be prepared to address evidence of the opposite side, as well.
