4 Common Problems candidates face in IELTS Listening-
Multiple Choice Questions 1.There is too much to read in multiple choice questions, Sometimes, the three choices also look similar in meaning and it may be difficult for you to tell the difference. 2.When given three choices, you are likely to hear the speaker talking about all three options. 3.The answers will normally come in the form of synonyms or paraphrases.

5 2.When listening, listen for any keywords and synonyms.
Tips for IELTS Listening-Multiple Choice Questions 1.Read the questions and identify what is actually being asked. Highlight the keyword in the question. Predict the answer. 2.When listening, listen for any keywords and synonyms. 3.Don’t write the first answer you hear. They will probably talk about more than one option so wait until they have talked about them all and then answer. Be careful with answers that are given by the speaker and then taken away. 4.Don’t spend any more time than is necessary. If you miss an answer, make a guess and move on.

8 Common Problems candidates face in IELTS Reading- Matching Headings
1. There is too much information to get through and not enough time.As a result, spending too much time on one paragraph or heading. 2. Some of the headings may appear to have similar meaning. 3. Some students only read the first sentence of each paragraph quickly and do not understand the main idea of the paragraph. 4. Answers are not in the same order as the text.

9 1.If this type of question is on the test, do it first.
Tips for IELTS Reading-Matching Headings 1.If this type of question is on the test, do it first. 2.Read the first one or two sentences and the last sentence of each paragraph to understand the general meaning of the paragraph. Try to sum up the general meaning of each paragraph in one or two words. 3. Then, look at the headings and identify keywords within each heading. Match any headings that are very obvious and you are sure about. 4.For difficult ones, write 2 or 3 headings beside the paragraph. Compare them to find the possible answers for each. 5.If you still can’t pick one, move on. The answer will often reveal itself later.
