Figure 1 Mimetic Peptides from Commensal Bacteria Can Enforce Commensal-Host Interactions through Cytotoxic CD8+ T Cells Bacteroides-expressed BaclYL36–44, found in commensal Bacteroides, can draw IGRP-specific CD8+ T cells to the gastrointestinal tissue. This epitope influences a low-avidity interaction between CD11c+ antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and IGRP-specific CD8+ T cells.
