2. Emergency Exit Row Seats
There are usually 10 seats situated next to emergency exits. Emergency exit row seats not only have more leg room, but they are also closer to the lavatories. Passengers in these seats can also deplane more quickly than others. These are the best seats in the cabin.

However, regular passengers can’t book these seats. Since passengers seated in the emergency exit rows must follow the flight attendants’ instruction to help other passengers evacuate the plane in case of an emergency, passengers who are eligible for requirements of airline, such as who can speak fluent English, are given priority when it comes to emergency exit row seats. Older people or those traveling with small children may be denied seats in emergency exit rows.
